Marissa reached out saying her and Aby were planning a getaway in Colorado and knew it was the perfect time to pop the question. She knew she wanted a beautiful view and was hoping for some guidance with finding the perfect spot since her and Aby are not from Colorado.
I told her my main goal as a photographer is to take the stress out of planning so she would be allowed to be present in the moment. I’ve photographed many proposals and been proposed to, so I am very aware of all the “what if”s and overthinking that can come with wanting this moment to feel incredibly special. Marissa expressed to me in the beginning that her main nerves were about being in the wrong spot on accident, so I made sure to send her the exact visuals she needed from my location scouting venture so she could be comfortable taking in the moment instead of worrying about proposing in the incorrect area.
